This aquarium has been open since the late 1990s. They had a nice display of freshwater fish and turtles. They even had a couple of huge snapping turtles.The salt water tank was amazing and huge. They did a good job simulating a reef, but of course nothing can replace a real reef. None of the coral they had was alive.They have two dolphins in a large swimming pool with viewing windows under water. I felt so sorry for them. One was especially bored and made repetitive movements from surface to bottom and back up again. The tank was empty except for the dolphins. They did a little show a few times a day and it was the only time they looked at all interested in anything…I think it was the fish!We had a snack of guacamole on the beach after leaving the aquarium.
