Gulf Coast trip

Monday

1:14 PM

Name: Orange Stand
Location: Hwy 180 toward Veracruz
Notes: After hours of travelling on potholed roads through countless orange groves,Bill stopped at this roadside orange stand to have a fresh orange juice. We both.chose mandarin orange and five minutes later a young lad brought us two huge glasses of juice. The proprietor stood and talked with us, showing us all the products that he grows on his land including coffee, vanilla, mangos, oranges and guanabanas. He even had homemade pottery for sale but I don’t know if he or a family member makes it.
The juice was sweet and flavorful but next time I will choose oranges instead of mandarins. The juice is just a bit too sweet!
