Gulf Coast trip

Name:: Freedom Shores Resort
Location: Isla Aguada
Notes: There aren’t many places to camp in Mexico but looking on iOverlander I saw this one. It is a nice, shady beachfront rv park with all services for those who need them. It is pricy though. We talked the price down from 250 per night to 300 for two nights with the assurance that we would eat in the restaurant. Which we did of course.
This is a real fishing village. We walked along the malecon and watched the fishermen stowing their nets, their blue and white fishing boats all line up along the shore.
There was a grocery store that we stopped at to buy some food for breakfast. I bought milk powder and yogurt, then we went looking for a bread shop. We found mangoes and bananas but no bread.
Later in the evening when the mosquitoes came out, we went into the dining room and bought some Jamaica and sat inside to drink it. Our hostess, Thelma, sat down and talked with us until 10pm. She is a very interesting lady.
She has arranged for us to go out on a dolphin viewing boat ride tomorrow with another couple staying here (Spanish only). Should be fun.
