Notes: For 3 days now we have gone to the malecon to watch the parades. Today we stopped at a beach palapa for a light lunch of chicken tacos while we waited for the parade.
Today there were a few more floats added to the ones we had already seen the night before. The girls were dressed in brightly coloured sequined costumes that looked like they were showing lots of bare skin however in truth they were covered from their necks down to the wrists and ankles in flesh coloured leotards!
There were no marching bands in the parade but there were a few groups of mostly male drummers beating out a very african sounding beat that girls and some guys danced to.
