Notes:: We walked from our homestay all the way to the main zocalo in Merida to enjoy the night life. It is a long way!
Leticia said that there was going to be a demonstrarion of a Mayan ball game at the cathedral but instead there was a video mapping lightshow.
The lightshow was projected onto the cathedral in the main square. The place was packed! Chairs had been set up for about 100 people but there were at least 3 times as many standing. This is not a permanent installation like the one in Valladolid but wasnt any better quality.
After the ones we saw a few years ago in France these Mexican productions seem pretty amateurish.
After the 20 minute show the projectors, speakers and chairs were all taken away.
We wandered back to the square at St Lucia and had drinks while listening to live music. There was a female singer who was awesome!
I made Bill promise that if we walked all the way into centro we would take a bus home. Unfortunately we couldnt figure out how to get a bus to stop for us and so walked all the way back home. TIRED NOW! (Approximately 10km roundtrip)
