We stopped for a snack at a crossroads and to rest for a bit. The mountain roads are on the whole well maintained, well cambered and smooth. Unfortunately every little village requires a minimum of 2 topes. In larger towns there can be as many as 20!And in the valleys between the mountains there were many large towns. For the last half of our trip the terrain became semi desert once again. As we climbed up the last range the clouds formed and it got downright chilly. We could see that it had been raining earlier and it looked like we would eventually run into the rain. Which we did about a half hour before reaching Pachuga.
