We ended up taking a route to Antigua that passed through Guatemala City, something we had hoped to avoid. Especially since it took us through an area prone to rock slides.It would have been horrible to have been in a vehicle other than a bike since the traffic jamb extended for many kilometers in both directions from a slide that had hit this Coca cola transport truck. We were able to squirm between and around the stopped traffic along with the other motorcycles. With our wide bags I was sometimes not sure we were going to make it!
