Near the main square of Antigua we found this chocolate museum They had just started a workshop in English so we joined in. Our guide, Orlando, was a pleasant young man who clearly enjoys his job. He showed us how cacao is grown and took us through how the mayan made cacao tea and chocolate drink ‘for the gods’. The ultimate activity was making our own chocolates with a mold and a variety of toppings. Delicious. We had to wait for an hour for our chocolates to cool so we tried a nearby sushi restaurant. Very interesting combinations.
