We ate breakfast at a local Comedor. Some kind of hot liquid ( atunchoco ) that looked like Avena with frijoles. It was savory rather than sweet. Not my favourite but edible. There weren’t any signs to say what the woman was cooking, but the guy beside us was having this liquid. As we ate we watched her making papusos . If we had known we would have ordered them. We’ve decided this is a good way to save money. Eat at the local restaurants. The food may be unfamiliar but it is what the locals eat and they seem to thrive on it. We can too.
