Took a weekend tour with arutam tours Javier drove us in his jeep over the mountain to the high jungle or cloud forest of Morona Santiago, home of the Shaur people. In the town of Limon, we stayed in a small hotel overlooking the small central park. It was simple but clean with a comfortable bed and a decent shower with plenty of hot water.On Saturday we hiked along a jungle river with beautiful waterfalls. It was raining off and on so all the rocks were wet and some of them were really slippery so we had to be careful.We also stopped to see some beautiful red and black birds called Cock of the rock. We heard them more than saw them because they flitted amid the top branches of thickly leafed trees. Partly cloudy 18
