As soon as we were out of La Paz we started looking for gas stations. We found several. The first two or three we went into would not sell us gas! So finally we found a very old looking service station with one guy attending. We pulled in and he served us gas no questions asked. Apparently there is a problem for foreigners getting gas in Bolivia. There are special rules, higher price and special paperwork that needs to be filled out by the service station attendant and most of them don’t want to do it. However we finally did get our gas and we were on our way to the Coroico where we’re planning to stay for the night.
