Other than being dusty and having to be careful not to hit a cyclist, most of Death Road was no worse than many other mountain roads we have been on. The last 6 kilometers though were really tough. This higher area had a lot of waterfalls that landed right on the road and even travelled along the road, washing away the surface leaving deep gravel and ruts. This had to be negotiated very carefully AND Bill still had to avoid hitting cyclists. At one point we had to stop because a crowd of people were running in and out of the waterfall on the road. They came over and had their friend take a picture of them with our motorcycle. We gingerly drove by them rather closer to the edge than I was comfortable with.
