we came down out of the mountains and into an area of foothills so we went from about 4200 meters down to a little less than 3000 meters. The ground is just like gravel and there are some low bushes and a lot of cactus in this area. Many of the cactus are in bloom which is kind of pretty. Some blooms are yellow and some blooms are white and it looks like another kind of cactus has already bloomed they were at when they were bloomed
