A very nice hotel with a swimming pool! The first quote the manager gave us was 350. That was too expensive. Then the manager said he had a room with a shared bath for 180. We said that was fine.Turned out the room was on the ground floor (for once no stairs) and overlooked the pool. Perfect! This was one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in on this trip.Tupiza is a desert town nestled in a small valley. The mountain on one side is red and on the other the mountain is grey. There are some mines in the mountains so there are slag heaps in various places too. This town in the jumping off point for tours into the desert and the salt flats. Therefore there are many restaurants catering to foreigners. Mostly Italian restaurants for some reason.
