Even though the name suggests it, there were no gardens to be found in this campground. The ground everywhere was dry and lumpy. We tried to find the levelest spot but it still was pretty lumpy. We put up the Tent for the first time since Columbia and for a while were thoroughly confused. We finally sorted it out and got it up. It took a long time to organise our campsite because we were really out of practice.Next we walked to the store and bought veggies and ham for a stir fry.I cooked and while we were eating our camping neighbour came over for a chat. He was from Germany and has a log cabin near Kelowna that he usually goes to for 7 weeks in winter. This winter he rented a camper and toured through Chile and Argentina. The night was a bit of a horror show because there was a live band just across the road that played from about 10pm to the wee hours of the morning. Between that and the lumpy ground I didn’t sleep well. But the sleeping temperature was perfect! Nice and cool, only a sprinkling of rain.I cooked ham and eggs in the morning and then we repacked our camping gear a little more intelligently. It should be easier setting up in the next campground.
