This hotel was rather expensive but it was the only one in this small petroleum town in Patagonia. This area is like a tiny Texas – oil pumps and cattle. We had a really simple but tasty dinner in the hotel restaraunts.Today’s ride was very windy to start with since the road was smooth and paved and we could go 100kmsph. At times I had to hold my helmet with my hand because my neck muscles were getting tired and sore. For the second half of the day we were on gravel with speeds of no more than 50kms. By the time we reached Cerro Sombrero we were both really tired and cold. Today’s temperature didn’t get over 15C.
