We took the subway to visit the Eva Per??n Museum. When we emerged we needed to walk a couple of blocks. We passed through a little park called Italia and then along the street. Suddenly I felt something wet on my right hand. Bill commented that I had some wet white stuff on the back of my sweater. I thought it must be bird shit as we’d just walked under a tree. A bystander tried to help me and pointed out Bill had some on him too. I took off my sweater to see that there was a LOT of whatever it was. The bystander pulled out some napkins and gave me some, then started to use some to wipe at the back of my pants. I felt a tug on my little purse and suddenly realized he had tried to nab my cellphone. Luckily it does not come out of the purse easily. He smiled and waved and took off to the other side of the street and in the opposite direction. We’d been set up.Luckily we lost nothing because other than my phone there was nothing in my purse and Bill doesn’t keep his wallet in the usual place for guys (back pocket)We packed my sweater and Bill’s fleece in the backpack and went to the museum. The museum was very well done in both Spanish and English although unabashedly one sided as far as the story goes. No pictures are allowed to be taken in the museum and we never thought to take a picture outside the building. Per?? 569 C1068AAA Autonomous City of Buenos Aires Partly cloudy 25
