We booked the hostel airport shuttle to get us to the airport. Although most of our riding clothes, helmets etc. went with the bike, we still had to sheep all our camping gear and clothing with us.We both have backpacks and duffles we hope to carry on the plane. The only checked bag should be the camping gear.We had no trouble checking in at the airport. While we were waiting for our flight at the gate’ Bill got a text saying the flight had been cancelled. He went to ask at the desk but the staff knew nothing about a cancellation. He came back and sat down. A half hour later we heard our names on the intercom calling us to come to the desk. We looked at each other. Uh oh! Bill went to the desk…and came back with new boarding passes. They had changed our seats to the very front of tourist class. This meant that we would have lots of leg room.The flight turned out to be not even half full. I was able to lie down across three middle seats and sleep for a while. The food was reasonable for airplane food’ the 767 was new with all kinds of improvements like self tinting windows and noise reduction. The best flight I’ve ever experienced.
