We had exceptionally beautiful weather for our ride to the Grand Canyon. As we approached the vegetation was small and scrubby, more desert than anything, but as we neared the actual Canyon there were lots of pine trees.This past week all national parks in the USA were free so we didn’t have to pay when we entered.There were lots of people also enjoying the many lookouts along with us. Bill stopped at nearly all of them but I was more interested in getting to our campsite for the night. I wanted to see what our new Big Agnes tent was like.Also it was getting tiresome getting off and on the bike and walking around in riding gear carrying a helmet.We finally arrived at the campsite only to discover it was full! We had to go outside the park to find another.
