The hotels in town were out of our price range so we stopped at this one just outside of town. It was simple but had a picnic table outside so we were able to use our camp stove and do our own cooking.We walked to the beach and strolled along the sand. There was bright sunshine but the breeze was quite cool. Then we rode into town to find the start of the Transcanada Highway. The flowers were amazing in town. All along the western coast we have seen azaleas and rhododendrons in full bloom in a huge range of colours.In the morning we walked to an area of mudflats that are apparently teeming with wildlife. We only saw birds. Sunny 19
