We followed the directions from Ioverlander to a hostel but it didn’t look very good. Also it was on a steep incline. We drove around the corner and found we were in behind the cathedral. Right beside is was a hotel. Bill went in and asked the price. At first the man told us 750 but when I said it was too much he dropped it to 600. The room is small and the beds hard. But it is clean and has a good shower. There is a continental breakfast in the morning.We walked around the downtown and took pictures of the church- a garrish baroque affair. Then we searched out a restaurant to have a good New Years dinner. It was. They served us fresh bread and olive oil. Delicious. As were our main courses.As it turned out we didn’t use the shower this morning because there was no water. Also there was no coffee or breakfast ready at 8am. So we went out for breakfast.
