We left our hotel in the bright sunshine but as the tour shuttle made its way up into the cloud forest it got…well. .. cloudy! I wore my rain jacket but Bill just had on his morion wool shirt. I think he was a bit uncomfortable but of course wouldn’t admit it because he actively chose not to bring his jacket.Bill booked our two tours. First we went on a canopy tour with a guide. For this we walked along a stone path through the forest and crossed valleys on swinging bridges. Our guide was an older gentleman who spoke English very fast and often more spangle should. He was very abrupt with me verging on rude. However he was very knowledgeable and went to a great deal of trouble to make sure we saw Quetzals. He even took pictures on my phone through a scope. We also got some good pictures of a 3 wattled bell bird.As.soon as we got back to the tour center we went to get our equipment for ziplining. There were about 20 people zipping in our group with 5 guides. It was lots of fun if a bit rushed. It was like we were on an assembly line. However it was good to see how efficient the whole operation was. When we got back to the hotel it was about 1:30 pm. We had a short rest then went for lunch at Caf?
