Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada

Oh boy!  We have spent the last two hours trying to scoot between two different storm systems.  The sky ahead is blue and the storm front starkly delineated.  Just as we passed through a small town called Foam Lake we made it into the blue sky area.  That’s when Bill glanced down at his gas gauge.  Empty!  We have about 30km after the light comes on and the next prairie gas station was going to be further than that.

Reluctantly he stopped and turned back to the gas station we had just passed.  Poor Bill!  The hail beat down on him as he pumped the gas.  There wasn’t even a roof over the pumps.
