Gulf Coast trip
Thursday
7:41 PM

Name:: Cardenas at Night
Location: Cardenas, Tabasco, Mexico
Notes: Every store has music blaring from huge speakers and hundreds of people are walking or standing on the street making it seem like a party happening all over town.
Earlier we saw no taco shops but after 7pm lots of them have opened all over the place. We stopped at the one across from our hotel to have a couple of tacos pastor. They were okay. Later we discovered another taco shop a little further down the street that had lots of patrons. We were the only ones where we had eaten. I’ll bet the busy shop had better Tacos!
There is a town clock with carillion bells that chime every 15 minutes. They play different tunes – some I recognize (celito lindo) and most I don’t. Ironically the clock itself is stuck at 1 o’clock so you can’t actually use it to tell the time.
