Notes: Bill and I had been to this place in 2008 and really enjoyed the experience so we thought Jehn might enjoy it too. My how it had changed!
Not to say that it wasn’t an enjoyable place, but it has turned into an all out resort with hotel and restaurant and manicured gardens and a pretty steep price.
The tour of the henequen factory was the same though. Our guide really got into his work and did a great job. There is also an old Mayan man who grew up working on this hacienda and who was kept on when the new owners bought the abandoned factory and turned it into a living history museum. He was there the first time we went as well.
