Notes: Beautiful morning. It was still cool as we headed out but soon the sun warmed things up. As we travel south we see the landscape changing from early spring to mid spring with the buds on the trees turning green like a time lapse movie.

Hwy i 69 is a wide, fast road that is easy to drive but kind of boring. Still, the weather is perfect and it is great to be back on the road.

Spring is a little more advanced now. There are pretty flowering bushes along the sides of the highway and lots of trees now have leaves.Weather: Sunny

Notes: Very very windy!! Travelling on the interstate highways is fast but quite uncomfortable because of the crazy wind blowing my head off and the buffeting that happens when passing transport trucks- and there are a lot of them! The highway system is geared for these monsters with rest stops at regular intervals. They are pull through parking that allow drivers to get a couple of hours sleep as they haul their cargo from one end of the country to another.

Camping at Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park
Notes: We stopped at the Dollar General for groceries Spent $19.25 for food for dinner and breakfast. The primitive camping area was deserted. A couple and their toddlers came by to fish for catfish and spent a couple of hours, then left. We were alone with the wind and the birds. We set up camp and spent the evening relaxing, listening to the birds and answering email.
