Weather: Sunny
Temperature: 10C

Notes: We got an early start today after a peaceful night as the sole occupants of the primitive campground at Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park. We ate buns, peanut butter and yogurt for breakfast, packed up our camping gear and headed back out on the road.

Its another long day of driving on interstate highways but it is the only way we are going to make it on time for our appointments in Merida.  We went to  a campground that I had spotted on a camping app,  but there were no real tent spots and it was noisy from the highway.  We gassed up and continued on.

Title: Finally parked for the night. Usually we try to stop earlier but this was the first decent camping place we found.  It’s run by the Army Corps of Engineers.

This is a very nice campground on a lake that is popular for fishing. The fishermen say they are catching catfish right now. Some time last week a small tornado blew through the campground and knocked over a bunch of trees along the lake shore. There are a couple right at our site.
