Name: Hotel Arcos del Parque
Location: Acuyacan, Tabasco
Notes: Another pick from IOverlander.
Today we spent most of our time on hwy180 sometimes on the cuota and sometimes on the libre. The terrain changed from dry loawlands to green hills and finally back to lowlands as we neared Coatzacoalcos. The free highway was in terrible shape! Especially the road between Coatzacoalcos and Acuyacan. It looked like 10 different construction companies were.given contracts to rebuild the road. Some of them knew what they were doing and completed their sections. Others had no idea how to build a road and had paved some sections while others were nothing but potholes big enough to swallow a small car. We’d drive for a couple of kilometers on paved 4 lane wide road then bounce along on broken 2 lane road then wind our way onto more pavement skirting a veritable lake in the mide of the road. Add to this a whole lot of topes and you might be able to imagine how happy we were that our hotel has a nice comforable bed, warm showers and air conditioning.
