Gas stop, 10:44 a.m.
Location: Otjiwarongo, Namibia
Notes: The ride was smooth and straight and the weather nice and cool. It is a dry country with scrubby bushes. Most of it was fenced but the warthogs were still running around in the road allowances. Luckily they tend to run away from the bikes.
As we were parked after gassing up, the army went by in their trucks and tanks etc. We also watched some military jets speed by. Wonder what was going on? Ah, the mystery is solved. This is Heroes Day, a holiday monday for Namibians.

Eats – Lunch, 12:54 p.m.
Location: On the road
Weather: Clear Temp: 24C
Notes: When we were ready for lunch we had to pass 2 picnic stops before we found one that was not already occupied. The truck was only a few minutes behind us. Yay food!

Arrival Mushara Lodge, 3:17 p.m.
Weather: Clear Temp: 29C
Notes: The staff was all out to greet us when we drove in. Lots of smiles and Sadji videoed us on his phone. They served us iced tea and handed out the keys.
As usual on this trip our room is beautiful. So far the mosquito netting over the bed had been decorative rather than practical. In 2 more days we will be in Botswana and it might be more critical. Tomorrow morning we will begin taking our malarone
