Notes: I feel much better this morning. The temperature is cooler and my fever has gone. Still a little bit queasy but not like last night. We ate our own breakfast of coffee, mangos and bananas and probably oatmeal, I don’t remember. We were on the road before 9:00am and bought gas before we left town.

Notes: The weather has been much more pleasant today, so far. We aren’t too far away from Tula, a town that we have stayed in before. There is a nice hotel there that we will go to again. They have a pool! Our second gas stop for today.

Notes: We stayed at this hotel on the way to Merida and liked it enough to come back. It has a lovely pool and pretty good rooms. This one is a large room with king bed. Unfortunately it is not beside the pool like our last room was, but it is close enough. I spent some time swimming and then lounging by the pool to read. A nice relaxing day.

Notes: One of our favourite dishes in Mexico is a bean soup called charros. I have mentioned it before, I’m sure. They had it on the menu, so of course that is what we ordered along with beer and a naranjada.

Notes: Went for a walk around the main square and had an ice cream in the park.
