Fellow travellers: Yoji, Nick, Karsten and Brendan We are all on motorcycle and will be taking the same boat to Columbia.I found out one cannot trust Travelocity when it comes to addresses for hotels. We followed a route into Panama city and then up to the top of a huge hill in the barrios of the city. The view was breathtaking and there was a basketball court right in the middle of top. We were both hot and stressed having fought through heavy traffic, one way streets and steep roads to get there so we never even thought to take a picture.Bill had managed to get a location from Google as but could not set it as a way point to follow because we had no Internet or data.I set it as close as possible on my navigation program and we finally managed to reach our destination. The B&B was a little pricier than we had hoped for but since other riders were there too, we thought it was still within our means. (60 per night plus tax) We planned to stay 2 days. Our room was small and very basic but the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner quiet and cool AND we had hot water for showers. Beyond that we had laundry facilities- an actual coin operated washer and dryer! This was a huge bonus because we were able to wash our riding pants and jackets which had gotten so smelly they literally met us at the door when we walked into our room.We also washed all of our other clothes that were in need of it.Another positive occurrence, I was able to get a few more migraine pills at a nearby pharmacy. I still had some but didn’t want to take the chance of running out. Tropical heat along with stressful city riding seems to be a trigger. 1st Street El Carmen Partly cloudy 29
