We stayed last night at the Hotel Santorini in Huanuco. This was a nice 2 star hotel with hot water and good bed and of course parking for the bike However there was no airconditioning and we were below 2000mts so it was quite warm. We had the window open and the street noise made it hard to sleep.We ate pizza for dinner and for breakfast Bill had caucau (potatoes in sauce with a fried egg on top) and I had an egg and cheese sandwich.The road today was as good as they come. Yesterday it took us 8 hours to do just over 300kms and today it took us 4 hours to do about 285kms. As usual the scenery was spectacular!Stopped for the day at a real working hacienda. Nice room, good food, beautiful gardens and the place pretty much all to ourselves. This is usually the rainy season so no one goes to the mountains until March.
